How the Ciudad Deportiva is prepared for training
Planning at the Ciudad Deportiva has been meticulous for the return to training, involving measures being established for schedules, access points, cleaning and disinfection, facilities, medical controls, maintenance and security personnel, the players and the coaching staff distributed across each of the 3 training areas. The club are scrupulously complying with the new protocols established by LaLiga and approved by the CSD and the Ministry of Health.

Activity at the training facility is frenetic from the early hours: Doctors, physios, kitmen, analysts, maintenance personnel, fitness coaches and coaching staff are divided into three groups, working in their specific areas to ensure that players have the necessary kit, gym equipment, rehabilitation room, physiotherapy and resources for individualised training.

The Head of Operations and Infrastructure at the club, along with an inspector from LaLiga, coordinate the procedings so that the protocol is followed to the letter.

Everything must be prepared for the arrival of the first players. Training gets underway at 9:30am, but before it does, each player has their temperature taken.

The players arrive in their cars and move to the closest point to their assigned training ground. There, a fitness coach and a coaching staff member await, ready to run through the scheduled work. Sessions are adapted to meet the personal requirements of each player, and last between 45 and 60 minutes.

Work on the pitch continues throughout the morning, and at around 2:00pm the final sessions conclude. During the five hours of activity, the coaching staff are also distributed across each of the pitches to oversee each of the players, preparing their exercises and giving them instructions -as well as receiving their feedback on what is a difficult situation.
